Virginia Carol (Sawyer) Caldwell

January 26, 1953 - November 24, 2020

Virginia “Carol” Caldwell, 67, passed away on November 24, 2020. Carol was born on January 26, 1953. She was a very proud and loving mother, granny, sister, and aunt who cherished her family. She worked at Carilion in the dietary department for over 20 years and in PicQuick, Food Lion, and Kroger delis. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening, and being outdoors. She loved playing Yahtzee and Bingo and picking/carrying on with others. She is now reunited with her mother, Virginia Morris; father, Howard Sawyers; Stepdad, Jack Morris; son, Richard Sawyers; sisters, Betty Dadian, Hilda Barton, and Connie Sawyers; brother, Bill Sawyers; and granddaughter, Casey Bane.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Terri Lynn Delby and husband LaMarr, and Emily Newman and Ryan Baltz. Her seven grandchildren: Sierra, Jaylin, and Darren Delby; Bella Baltz; Krystal, Denali, and Saygen Sawyers. Her sisters: Patricia Ervin (Paul); Lisa Widner (Johnnie). Brother: Dennis Morris (April). Several nieces and nephews. Long-time companion Michael Caldwell.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012.
Those attending the graveside service are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
