Howard Wayne Craig

Howard Wayne Craig, 79, of Bassett, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at his home. He was born June 10, 1941 in Martinsville, to the late Willie Lee Craig and the late Sallie Lou Harris Craig. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Susan Gregory.

Howard had owned and operated Craig’s Auto Body Shop for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars, racing, watching Westerns and going to Cherokee Mountains.

He is survived by three daughters, Ann Vipperman (Henry), Wanda Moreau, and Hilda Mabry (Shannon); grandchildren, Taylor Leigh Mabry, Chris Gregory (Sandy), Ivory Weaver, Jason Weaver and Travis Weaver; as well as several great-grandchildren.

The Funeral will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Donald Kendrick officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery, 19 Anthony Drive, Patrick Springs, Virginia.
