Irene Belle (Rennie) Semones Givens

Irene Belle (Rennie) Semones Givens, 83, of Newport, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her home. Rennie was born on April 18, 1937 in Galax, VA and was a daughter of the late Russell Howard Semones and Nellie Nixon Semones. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Fred Bell Givens, Jr., infant son, Fred B. Givens, III, infant brother, Russell H. Semones, Jr., brothers-in-law Dwayne Givens and Edward Lavene, mother-in-law, Bertha N. Givens and father-in-law, Fred B. Givens, Sr. She is survived by son Joseph K. Givens (Leslie B.) of Newport, one daughter Amy Suzanne Givens Moler (Frederick C.) of New Castle, six grandchildren, Sara Sartin (Ethan) Pembroke, Jake and Isaac Givens of Newport, Cody, Eli and Noah Moler all of Newport, one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Sartin, one brother, Guerry A. Semones (LeLage) of Missouri, two sisters, Glennadine S. Gouldman (Roger) of Gum Spring, Deborah S. Ayers (Wayne) of Martinsville, VA, two sisters-in-law, Nancy Givens of Mechanicsville, Jean Lavene of Richmond, ten nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday December 5, 2020 at 1pm at the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Newport, VA with the Rev. Morris Fleicher officiating with burial following at the Ross Cemetery in Simmonsville. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service from 12 - 1 pm.
