Carolyn Vergene Lankford

Carolyn Vergene Lankford, 67, of Ridgeway, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 12, 1953 in Martinsville, to the late Ara “AV” Frazier and Virginia Sizemore Frazier.

She was a 1972 graduate of Drewry Mason High School, and was a dedicated member of Redemption Point Church. She enjoyed boat riding, bowling, shopping, the mountains, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tonya Waddell (Adam); son, Terry Lankford (Ciji); sister, Lois Sue Sayers; brothers, Eddie Frazier (Patsy) and Allen Frazier (Tamantha); grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Zachary Lankford, Jacob Smith, Billy Smith, Caleb Smith, Mackenzie Lankford, and Will Smith; and special friend from the beginning to the end, Glen Lankford.

There will be a Floating Visitation Sunday, December 6, 2020, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The Funeral will be Monday, December 7, 2020, at 1:00 PM, at Redemption Point Church, 327 N. 2nd Avenue, Mayodan, North Carolina, with Pastor Kenny Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
