Kenneth "Shorty" Pierce

Kenneth “Shorty” Pierce, 74, of Salem, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Pierce; parents, James Pierce and Mazada Pierce Reese; brother, Clayton Pierce.

Shorty is survived by son, Robbie Pierce and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Chelsea Armes, Austin Pierce, Kristin Pierce; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Aubrie Armes; long-time companion, Charlotte Hall; half-sister, Debra Shaw; step-brother Lynwood Reese; step-sister, Janice Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to South Roanoke Nursing Home, out of appreciation for Katie Curfiss and all that she did for the Pierce family.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Halls Methodist Church Cemetery in Elliston Virginia with Pasto Troy Mays officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
