William Noble Martin, Jr., 84, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Florida while visiting his family. He was the husband of the late Emma Jean Reynolds Martin.
 
Born in Norfolk, VA on February 22, 1936, he was the son of the late William Noble Martin, Sr., and the late Delfrey Penney Martin.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech University and his Master’s Degree from Florida State University. Bill loved his family dearly and especially delighted in following his grandchildren as they played college and professional sports. He enjoyed a good cigar, fishing, reading, following the stock market, and spending time with his dog, FB.
 
Bill was the owner of The Wiener Works Restaurants.; a well-known fast-food restaurant and a tradition in the Fayetteville community. He had a deep appreciation for his employees and patrons.
 
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William Noble Martin, III and Nancy M. Martin of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, William Noble Martin, IV, Theodore Marchman Martin both of Odessa, FL, and Margaret Emma Martin of Duluth, GA; and a brother, Earl Penney Martin of Fayetteville, NC.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Theodore “Ted” Reynolds Martin.
 
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Dwayne Shepherd and Pastor Anthony Reeves will be held at 2 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020, at Providence Baptist Church, 1055 Lawyers Road, Red House, VA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends at the church for a viewing one hour prior to the service.
