Burley R. Hooker

Burley R. Hooker, 86, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home.. He was born in Stokes County, NC on December 4, 1934 to the late Reid Monroe Hooker and the late Rosie Lee Overby Hooker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Hooker.

Burley is survived by his special family, Lisa Ingram Kester, Jamie Fain (children, Jackson Fain, Emma Fain and Ava Fain) and Joseph Fain (son, Jett Fain); nephew Russell W. Hooker and several nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Staurt with Pastor Jason Alverson officiating.

Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed.
