Robert Melvin Rumley

Robert Melvin Rumley, 52, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 18 at Sovah Hospital. He was born January 29, 1968, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Robert Wray and Margaret Rumley Wray. He was a graduate of G W Carver High School and had worked in home restoration and repair. He loved to cook on the grill. Mr. Rumley was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Norman Rumley; a daughter, Matawya Rumley; a step-son, Mario Norman; a sister, Kimberly Gary (Richard); a brother, Steven Wray; and four grandchildren, Zi’Maya Rumley, Kiana Motley, Jamira Motley and Zerrayl Motley.

A floating visitation will be held on Monday, December 28 from 1-5 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Fair Haven Memorial Park with Dr. Lewis B. Simmons and Rev. Gregory Perkins officiating.
