Mary Ella Jones

Mary Ella Jones, 83, of Axton, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at SOVAH Martinsville. She was born April 3, 1937 in Apex, North Carolina, to the late Robert Penn and Lillie Pearson.

In addition to her parents, she was precede in death by her husband, Alfred Jones; daughter Barbara Jones Hairston; sisters, Alma Jean Pearson, Mary Jones, and Edith Pearson; brothers, Walter Penn William Penn, and Jigs Penn.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Miracles in Motion where she was the Mother of the church. She loved to attend church and sewing.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons, Alfred Jones (Kathy), and Jerry Jones (Eleanor); brother Dolphus Pearson; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Jones will be private.
