Calvin Clay Shrewsbury

Calvin C. Shrewsbury, age 82, of Troutville. passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
He was a plumber pipefitter employed by G.J. Hopkins for many years and retired from Community
Hospital.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Ander and Lovdie Graham Shrewsbury; sisters Hazel
Boothe and Peggy Horton.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years Mildred Hartman Shrewsbury; daughter, Sharon Downey and husband,
Roger; son Mark Shrewsbury and wife, Peggy; grandchildren Ethan and Leann Downey; brothers, Shirley
Shrewsbury and wife, Hyde, Claude Shrewsbury, Denny Shrewsbury, Damon Shrewsbury and wife, Cheryl,
Martin Shrewsbury and wife, Brenda; sister, Dora Woodie and husband, Dale; sister-in-law, Arlene
Hartman; nephews, Gene Heiler and wife, Sue, Clark Shrewsbury and wife, Drucilla; and numerous other
nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, 1 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
