Michelle Kathleen Bethel
Michelle Kathleen Bethel passed away in her sleep as New Year’s Day began at the age of 43. She was born in Bucks County Pennsylvania on April 4, 1977 and was the daughter of Nancy Bethel Quier and the late Russell Harry Quier Jr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Bethel; grandparents, Herbert Calvin Bethel Jr., and Ivy Lucille Bethel; uncles, Herbert Calvin Bethel Jr., and Earl Stanley Bethel; cousin, Justin Wayne Bethel.
Michelle was a graduate of the William Fleming High School Class of 1996, where she was a member of the Beta Club. She attended Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC), and obtained office training at Disability and Rehabilitative Services in Roanoke, where she also worked while being trained. She went on to work as a greeter at Staples in Tanglewood Shopping Center, and also as a file clerk for the Law Office of Gary M. Bowman.
She could be seen around Roanoke at many locations and venues, and was well respected and loved by her many friends. She was an inspiration to everyone who met her. Her smile, laughter, and love shown thru every day. She was a lover of all animals and leaves her pets Gracie and Lovie.
She will be missed and remembered by her mother Nancy Bethel Quier; half-sister, Marcie Quier and her children, Constance, Samantha, Connor and Harley; boyfriend, Ronnie Norrell of Salem, VA; uncles, Guy Prentice Bethel and his wife Mary Alice Howell Bethel, Steve Bethel and his wife, Karen, Stuart Bethel and his wife Nina; aunts, Martha Bethel, and Evelyn Bethel Heller; great-aunt, Barbara Coeper and her daughters, Sheila and Bonnie along with their families; cousins, Guy “Buddy” Bethel Jr., Cheri Bethel Patterson (Troy Patterson), Sean Brian, Scottie, and Lisa, Fox Douglas “Jeremy” and his wife Lindee, Douglas Wayne Bethel, George, Cindy, Cathy and all of their respective families, along with numerous other cousins, family and friends.
Due to COVID there will be no service held at this time.
