Ronnie Dale Rigney

Ronnie Dale Rigney, 68, husband of Sandra Kay Land Rigney passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was born in Danville and was the son of the late Raleigh C. Rigney and the late Geraldine Mae Myers Rigney.

Dale was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church and retired as a business manager for a food brokerage company.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, he will be missed and remembered by his children, Amy Rigney-Gay and her husband Andrew, Tim Rigney and his wife Lesley; grandchildren, Trevor Gay and Matthew Gay; sister, Judy Rigney Martin and her husband Steve; sister-in-law, Joan Adkins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at North Roanoke Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception in the fellowship hall following the service.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and nurses of the 9th floor ICU of Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to them during Dale’s illness.
