Hope Elizabeth Shelton O'dell

Hope Elizabeth Shelton O’dell, 96, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Martinsville Health and Rehab. She was born November 3, 1924, in Eden, North Carolina, to the late Samuel and Georgia Lera Wigginton Shelton. She loved to dance, shop, cook and spend time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul O’dell; son, Johnnie Phillip O’dell; and brothers, Joseph and Dempsey Shelton.

Mrs. O’dell is survived by her grandchildren, Sonia and Sammy O’dell; and great-grandchild, Taylor Moore.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 12 Noon at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private.
