Frances Lucille Chaney

Frances Lucille Chaney, 79, of Bassett, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her home. She was born on July 18, 1941 in Henry County to the late Lincoln M. Craig and the late Era C. Widner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by step-father, Junior Widner; step-brother, Bobby Mitchell and step-sister, Mildred Price. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Frances is survived by her husband, Jim A. Chaney, Sr.; daughter, Debra Lynn Chaney; step-sisters, Virginia Wilson, Mae Hawks, Janet Adams, and Betty Spranger; grandchildren, Jamie Ann Chaney and B.J. Bernard.
There will be a floating visitation without the family where family and friends may stop by to sign the register from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
 
Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed.
