Linda Poff Simmons

Linda Poff Simmons, 70, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 8, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. and Ethel Saunders Poff; brothers, Michael A and Anthony E. "Tony" Poff.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Northside High School and earned her degree in Horticulture from Virginia Western Community College.  She was a devoted and supportive Navy wife and involved in the activities of the Navy Wives Club.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Joseph L. Simmons; daughter, Theresa  Simmons (Keith) Bush; son, Patrick "Andy" (Jennifer Dinneen) Simmons; grandchildren, Haleigh, Abigail, and Olivia Bush; sisters, Jody P. (Paul) Cronk, Melanie P. (Chad) Fisher; brothers, Kenny D. (Micha)  Poff, and Jack L. Poff; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Angels of Assisi.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
