Sharon Donovant Baker

Sharon Donovant Baker, 57, of Bassett, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Sovah Hospital, Martinsville. She was born August 21, 1963 in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late William Donovant and Lillie Brim Donovant. Mrs. Baker loved her grandchildren and going to their events. She loved butterflies, gardening, and sewing. She was also a waitress at Country Cookin.’

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Jeffrey Baker.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Heather Wade (Travice) and Brittany Baker; sons, Kevin Baker (Katelan), Benjamin Baker, and Matthew Baker (Kyrsten); sisters, Ann Goad, Yvonne Thornton, Elizabeth Jamison, Jean Hall, Ruth Kendrick, and Darlene Handy; brothers, Bobby Donovant, William Donovant, Timmy Donovant, Ronnie Donovant, and Ray Donovant; grandchildren, Aleigha Wade, Bentley Baker, Haylee Baker, Bryson Baker, Travice Wade, Jr., Jaxxon Baker, and Gracelynn Baker; uncles, Richard Baker, Ray Baker, James Baker; friend, Charles Sessor, and mother-in-law, Judy Midkiff.

The funeral for Mrs. Baker will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Wright Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service.
