Michael Steven Harris

Michael Steven Harris, 69, of Cloverdale passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Lewis Gale Medical Center after a brief cancer diagnosis. He went home to be with the Lord and to join his parents Ruth Chewning Harris and Harrison Lambert Harris, both of whom he missed dearly. He was also preceded in death by his fathers-in-law, Bill Markham and Joe Boothe; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Peggy and Bobby Tyler, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Mike will be missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 41 years, Debbie; loving brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Harris; mother-in-law, Nolie Markham; sisters-in-law, Linda Boothe, Mary Stump & Karen Harris and her husband Jimmy Harris; nephew, Rick Harris and his wife Monica, Zack Harris and his girlfriend Katie Smith; great-nephews, Austin and Blake Harris; great-great-niece, Hinsley Harris; and his cousin Dennis Harris, who was more of a brother, along with his wife Nancy.

The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Mosby and his staff along with Dr Paras and his staff for the professional support and compassionate care offered to Mike.

In honoring Mike’s wishes a graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brian Hughes officiating. There will be no public visitation. Attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at the graveside.

The service will be livestreamed for those who can’t attend in person.
