Jessie James Turner, Jr.

Jessie James Turner Jr., 66, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born December 22, 1954, in Henry County to the late Jesse James Turner, Sr. and Cassie Pritchett Carter. He enjoyed washing cars, football, basketball, and wearing hats and jewelry. He especially loved taking care of family and spending time with them.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Belinda Sue Fitzgerald Turner; daughters, Sharika S. Turner and April M. Turner; sister, Linda Turner; grandchildren, Yakira Turner, Dasjie Turner, Nija Turner, Dreama Turner, Jeremiah Turner, and Nakyia Turner; great-grandchildren, Jahiem Turner, Ka’cyon Washington, Kaeden Gardner and Kirion Inabinette; son-in-law, Geri O. Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. A floating visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
