Rhonda Cheek

Rhonda Roberts Cheek, 54, of Bedford, VA passed away in the comfort of her home on January 17, 2021. She was born Tuesday, November 29, 1966, daughter of Nancy Roberts Compton (James E. Compton) and the late Thurston Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her brothers in law Billy Cheek and Jimmy Taylor and sister in law Misty Cheek Radford.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jeffery Cheek and children Stephanie Levey (Christopher Levey) and Trevor Cheek (Katherine Horne). She is also survived by her brother and sisters; Gypsy Nichols, Bobby Roberts (Jan Roberts), Susan Taylor, and her twin Donna Sexton (Tim Sexton), her sister in law Terri Newbrough (Jeff Newbrough), brother in law Brad Radford, 11 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

Rhonda was the strongest woman her family and friends knew, and was an inspiration to all that loved her. She leaves us with strength, perseverance, unconditional love, and a passion for living life to the fullest.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Updike Funeral Home Chapel, Bedford with the Rev. James E. Compton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM.

The Cheek family and Updike Funeral Home request everyone follow social distancing guidelines and also wear a mask.
