Rosa Turlington West


Rosa Turlington West, 82 of Clemmons, N.C. passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
She was born June 23, 1938 in Coats, NC to Randall Erwin Turlington and Josephine Forbes Turlington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Douglas West, Sr. and her brother Tom Turlington.
She is survived by her two sons, Norman West and wife Carrie of Winston-Salem, NC., Eric West and wife, Angela of Waxhaw, NC; four grandchildren, Jordan West, Garrett West, Rebecca West and Mitchell West; sisters, Sue Corbett and Bette Stephenson; brother John Turlington; sisters-in-law, Shirley West and Donna Turlington.
Rosa lived in Martinsville and Horsepasture from 1966 to 2017 when she moved to Clemmons, N.C. She was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church for 43 years. After moving in 2017 she joined First Christian Church in Clemmons. She retired from Patrick Henry Community College after 24 years. Rosa loved her family, friends and church above all else.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Horsepasture Christian Church cemetery and will be officiated by Minister Dave Cuthbertson.
