Addie Mae Hairston Wimbush

Addie Mae Hairston Wimbush, 66, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Franklin Health and Rehab. Addie was born September 5, 1954 to the late James Russell and Addie Green Beale Hairston in Martinsville, Virginia. Prior to moving back to Martinsville, she attended Life Changing Faith Christian Church in Suitland, Maryland. Addie graduated from Southeastern College and worked for the United States Department of Justice as a curator for over 10 years. Addie loved to read, cook, watch soap operas, loved to collect pillows/stuffed animals, and loved her grandbabies dearly.

Addie is preceded in death by her sisters, Louvenia Brown, Dorothy Johnson, and Gail Hairston; and brother, Eugene Hairston.

Addie is survived by her son, Terrance Q. Hairston; sister, Rita M. Williams; brothers, Jake R. Hairston (Paulette) and James L. Hairston (NaLaya); grandchildren, Jada D. Plummer, Terrance Q. Hairston, Jr., Jadyn K. Hairston, Talia Hairston, and Keithon Moore; great grandchildren, Riley Carter and Logan Carter.
