Brenda Sue Martin Hairston

Brenda Sue Martin Hairston, 69, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Mulberry Creek Nursing Home. She was born March 30, 1951, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Robert and Roena Redd Martin. Brenda was a graduate of George Washing Carver High School, class of 1969. She loved church, liked to laugh and dance. She enjoyed a good whopper from Burger King and especially loved her “Terry”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Lee Hairston; sister, Elizabeth Nadine Martin; and brothers, Larry Martin and Darnell Martin.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Jerome Hairston and Robert Joseph Hairston; brother-in-law, Donald Lee Hairston, her caretakers, Elbert (Squeaky) and Terry Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Brenda was the last survivor of her family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 2:00 P. M. at Carver Memorial Gardens. A floating visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
