Rita Ann Young

Rita Ann Young of Pembroke departed this life Sunday, January 24, 2021 under the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Giles County, VA on August 17, 1954, she is a daughter of the late Billy Dowdy and Dolly Lang Dowdy Weiss.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Jay Young.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Tammy Snider of Newport; sons, Jeff Young (Angie) of Pembroke; Jay Young (June) of Pembroke; and William Young of Newport; grandchildren, Angela, Andrew, Allen, TJ, Wanda, Jonathan, Kayla, and Krista; and a sister, Brenda Cheatwood (Sam) of Dublin.
There will be a Funeral Service to honor her memory, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, VA with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Family will receive friends at the chapel Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
