Edith "Dianne" Dewitt Boyd

September 3, 1952 - January 31, 2021

Edith “Dianne” DeWitt Boyd, 68, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 3, 1952, in Bedford, Va., to the late Edison G. and Delores Johnson DeWitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis and Mary W. Johnson, and Edith DeWitt; and her late husbands, C.D. Ferguson and Cleo E. Boyd.

Dianne was retired from Brooks Food Group, formerly known as McCormick Food and Golden West Food, in Bedford, Va., with 42 years of service, as a payroll clerk. She loved to square dance, knit, and work in her yard. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, in Salem, where she assisted as a part-time treasurer. Dianne loved to sing in the choir and always looked forward in participating in the church Christmas plays.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Robinson (Amanda); stepsons, Danny Ferguson, David Boyd (Robin), and Ben Boyd (Tammy); stepdaughter, Linda Gale Dickert (Rob); grandson, Nathan Robinson; step-grandson, Collin Dickert; step-granddaughters, Victoria Dickert and Alana Ferguson; sister, Mary D. Thomas (David), aunt, Dora D. Toms; nieces, Stacey T. Arrington (Kent) and Wendy T. Knott (Kenneth), and their children, Sidney Puckette, Ethan, and Emma Arrington; her son, Kevin’s father, Richard Robinson; many other family members and friends; and her loving Chihuahua, “Spike.”

Funeral services to honor Dianne’s life, will be conducted on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, 900 8’th St., Salem, Va., with Pastor Jr. Westmoreland officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, also in Salem. Face masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, or The American Cancer Society.
