Samuel Riley Cannady, Jr.

Samuel Riley Cannaday, Jr. 43, of Axton, Virginia passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home. He was born September 16, 1977, in Martinsville, Virginia to Samuel R. Cannaday, Sr., and the late Deborah Sue Akers. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He was always full of life and enjoyed video games, cats, and dogs. He was a tender hearted prankster who loved to make people laugh.

In addition to his father, he is survived by sisters, April Collier and Melody Abbott; nephew, Gage Craig; nieces, Lexie Walker, Alisa Abbott and Ashley Bryant.

The funeral will be Friday, February 5, 2021, at 12:00 Noon at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
