Fredrick P. Cox, Jr.
Mr. Fredrick P. Cox, Jr. passed away on February 3, 2021 in the comfort of his home in Bassett, Virginia. He was born on April 4, 1928 in Easton, PA and resided in Bassett for a number of years.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II as a radio man and was at one time attached to the Chinese National training command in Tsing Toa, China under the service of Chiang Kai-Shek and was honorably discharged from the navy.
Mr. Cox worked in the manufactured housing industry for the majority of his life. He had an Appreciation for antique cars, art and was avid traveler.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle A. Cox of Stanleytown and his children, David Cox of Grand Saline, Texas, Kevin Cox (Candace) of Lexington, North Carolina, Susan Cox (Jim) of Nacogdoches, Texas, Richard Cox (Debbie) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Elizabeth Plymale of Hickory, North Carolina, Eleanor Zavala of Visalia, California and his sister, Barbara Yohe of Richmond, Virginia. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held to honor the wishes of Mr. Cox and his immediate family. As a final request, Mr. Cox would like to be remembered as a good member of his community and friend among friends.
