Joyce Marie White
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Joyce Marie White, 75, of Eden, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 1, 2021. She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on April 21, 1945 to the late Harold Belcher and the late Lovella Stanley Belcher. Our mother and grandmother……..She never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face, always ready for a hug and had a heart of gold as big as the state of Texas.
She was a faithful and passionate Christian that was a true illustration of how the Lord wants us to love others as He loves us. She was never too busy to stop and pray with anyone who asked. She was always quick to share her faith to anyone that would listen.
Joyce was the founder of God’s Provision Food Pantry in Franklin County and poured her heart and life into feeding people, not only physically, but spiritually as well while being a proud servant of God.
She was a proud, devoted, and a true depiction of unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce loved fishing, flowers, birds and crotched hats for the homeless.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Odell (Paul), Cynthia Byrd, Shani Hurley (Rodney); one son, Charles Hicks; two brothers, Theodore Belcher and Philip Belcher (Chris); grandchildren, Steven Workman, Gene McPeak (Brittany), Michael Byrd, Patricia Byrd (Calvin Reynolds), Andrew Yopp and Ashley Yopp; great grandchildren, Athena and Stacey Workman, Sofia and Ella Mae McPeak, Olivia and Janie Byrd, Kitana and Xavier Reynolds; two sisters-in-law, Lou Belcher and Wanda Belcher; also, her best friend, confidant and sister in Christ, Wanda Belcher that Joyce loved very much and had spent a great deal of time together throughout many years. Thank you for being so good to our mother.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to your local food pantry
