Shirley Rigney Eanes

Shirley Rigney Eanes, 71, of Axton, Virginia passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at SOVAH Health of Danville. She was born June 6, 1949, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Edward Swiney and Clara Adine Scarce Rigney.

Shirley was outgoing and loved to spend time with family and friends. She always welcomed everyone into her home and had a big heart. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, casinos and playing cards at the kitchen table with family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as a hairdresser at the Hair Den in Martinsville, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Noel H. Eanes.

She is survived by sons, Joey Eanes, Timothy Eanes; sisters, Nancy Heath, Linda Barbour, Deloris Lewis, Mary Mays; brothers, Neal Rigney, Tommy Rigney, and Gary Rigney; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 2:00 P. M. at County Line Christian Church, with Rev. Ricky Bates officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 22, 2021, from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
