Patricia Ann “Pat” Harris
Patricia Ann “Pat” Harris, age 87 of Cloverdale, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Our Lady of the Valley.
Pat was born in Bedford April 2, 1933 and lived in the Cloverdale area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Paul O. and Mary E. Israel Forbes.
Pat was homemaker and the caretaker of her family and extended family. She never knew a stranger and had the “gift of gab.” Pat enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring, and was one of those souls that truly had a kind heart. She was very proud of being Deaconess Emeritus at Green Hill Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Norman L. “Mickey” Harris and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel and Anita Fowler of Lexington, Michael Fowler of Forest, Patrick and Christine Fowler of Lynchburg, Clarence “Earnie” and Stacie Harris of Blue Ridge; daughter, Jenny Harris Ledikwe of Gaborone, Botswana; twelve grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Paul “Bud” Forbes of Buchanan; special friends: Diane Fowler of Goodview, Tanya Smoot of Roanoke, Dorothy Barnett of Salem, and Joyce Harris of Cloverdale.
A celebration of a life well lived will be 3:00pm Saturday, February 20 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastor Mike Varner officiating. Burial will be at Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Saturday.
