Angela Saunders Zigler
Angela Saunders Ziglar died peacefully in Sovah Health - Martinsville Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2021, in Martinsville, Virginia, at 52. Angela is survived by her mother, Susie Savannah Saunders; children, Christopher Badgett, Jerry Ziglar Jr., Joseph Ziglar, and Tianna Badgett; grandchildren, Kaiden Whitsett and Elijah Brown; brothers, Bobby Saunders and Jeff Saunders; sisters, Muriell Spencer, Sharon Martin, and Kimberly Turner; sisters-in-law, Barbara Saunders and Angelica Saunders; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by father, Eugene Saunders; brothers, Carl Saunders, Bernard Saunders, James Saunders, and Houston Saunders and a nephew, Antwan Saunders.
Angela was born on June 26, 1968, in Bassett, Virginia, to the late Eugene M. Saunders and Susie Savannah Saunders. She graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1986. Her children remember her as a remarkable woman who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Angela was excelled at being a caregiver and a friend to many. She was a generous individual who loved her children and grandchildren and was passionate about encouraging them to be their best and talking to everyone about her children’s accomplishments. Angela served as a caregiver for adults with special needs, a certified nursing assistant at several nursing homes, and a bus driver for Henry County Public Schools and Step, Inc. She was an active and dedicated member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, pastored by Bennie Redd in Fieldale, Virginia.
