Joanne Woltz Orange

Joanne Woltz Orange, 81, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born to James Meredith and Ellen Eloise Staton on April 3, 1939 in Fincastle, Virginia. She loved her family and going to the beach. Joanne had a unique sense of humor and never met a stranger. She had a way of making others feel like family.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Orange; son, Clay Dooley; and siblings, Reba Cary and Jane St. Clair.
Joanne is survived by her son, James “Jimmy” Timis; stepchildren, Steve Orange (Dee), Cathy Anderson (David), Kenny Orange (Janet), and Donnie Orange (Triphy); 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and brother, William “Bill” Staton.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and Brian Center (Fincastle) for their exceptional care.
A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 1:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairlviewel  Cemetery. Pastor Melton W. Johnson will be officiating. The family will have a visitation at 12noon that same day,  also at Simpson Funeral Home.
The Chapel Service will be livestreamed off this website, www.simpsonfuneral.com for those who are unable to attend in person.
