Kevin Leo Gravely, Sr.

Kelvin Leo Gravely Sr., 52, of Martinsville, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at his home. He was born in Martinsville, Va., on November 14, 1968, a son of Susie G. Payne and the late James E. Payne.

He is survived by his mother, Susie G. Payne of Martinsville, Va.; one son, Kelvin Gravely Jr. of Richmond, Va.; six sisters, Brenda Kellam, of Martinsville, Va., Rosa Shelton and Mary Payne, of Louisa, Va., Elnora Payne and Dorothy Payne, of Richmond, Va., and Elizabeth Payne, of Goochland, Va.; six brothers, James Gravely of Martinsville, Va., the Rev. Robert Payne Sr. of Goochland, Va., Frank Dandridge of Greensboro, N.C., Johnny Payne of Richmond, Va., Norman Payne of Louisa, Va., and Opie Payne of Waynesboro, Va.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Carver Memorial Gardens with Elder Henry Hairston officiating. A floating visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 1 until 5 p.m. with the family present from 4 until 5 p.m. All services will be held in accordance with CDC guidelines which includes facial coverings and social distancing.
