Danny "Dan" V. Ankeny

Danny V. “Dan” Ankeny, 71, of Stanleytown, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Home.  He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 17, 1949 to the late Calvin Ankeny and the late Bessie Wheeler Ankeny.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Ankeny.
He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ankeny; two children, Rocky Ankeny and Renae Ankeny Slate (Chad); one brother, Barry Ankeny and one sister, Brenda Pinkerman.
Friends may stop by the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM  with a memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Gilleran officiating.
Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed.
