Lena L. Turner

Lena L. Turner, 90, of Bassett, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Blue Ridge Nursing. She was born on May 6, 1932, to the late Carrie and Russell Lee Jefferson.  In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Turner, Jr.; sister, Alice Dunner; daughter, Debbie McCulloch; and beloved grandsons Brandon Philpott and Jeff Parnell.
Lena is survived by her daughter, Patricia Parnell (Herbert, Sr.), grandson Herbert Parnell, Jr. (Felicia); great-grandchildren: Brian Parnell, Brittany Parnell, and Cassidy Parnell (Darren); great-great-grandchildren: Heaven Hylton, Elijah Hylton, Kevin Parnell, and Darwin Holleman, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville.
