Samuel Blaine Hale

Samuel Blaine “Sam” Hale passed away March 18, 2021 at his home in Ridgeway. He was born November 25, 1940 in Russell County, Virginia to the late Oakley Ernest and Anna Mae Miller Hale.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by by one sister, Ruth Hale and one brother, Bobby Marshall.

Sam worked for McCone Construction in Detroit, Michigan as a supervisor, was proud of his service in the U.S. Army, was a Past Chancellor of Patrick Henry Lodge #82, Knights of Pythias, where he was also a Past Pythian of the Year, and former member of the P.S. Ford Pythian Lake Property Board of Directors.

He is survived by his wife Joan M. Hale, two daughters, Kimberly Kazee(Brad) and Tonya West(Donnie),four sisters, Faye Nicely, Gaye Chafin, Peggy Porter, and Nellie Bryant, one brother Douglas “Mack” Hale, six grandchildren, Courtney Laprade(Bobby), Kevin Harris, Caitlynne Harris(Kayla),Rachel Teague(Donald), Jason West, Sam West, and eleven great grandchildren, Isaiah Laprade, Natlie Lapade, Sebastian Laprade, Christian Laprade, McKenzie Harris, Lillian Harris, Kelsey Hall, Graysen Harris, Noah Teague, Logan Teague, and Jaxson Teague.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday March 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Barry Bescher officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from
1:00 PM till 2:00 PM.
