Barbara Faye Adkins

Barbara Faye Adkins, 63, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home. Barbara was born December 16, 1957 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late William Vernon Myers and the late Geraldine Carter. Barbara graduated from Chatham High School and was a member of Loyal Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed cooking, decorating, and helping people within her community

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Tekesha Adkins and Tericsha Walton; sons, Antwon Carter, Taiwan Carter, Shawan Carter, Darwon Russell, and Richard Adkins; brothers, Andrew Bennett and Michael Carter; uncle, John Carter; aunt, Shirley Collins, 21 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and special friend and caretaker Kathy Webb.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by two brothers, Daryl Carter and Kenneth Carter.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Callands Missionary Baptist Church. A floating visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 3-7 PM at Wright Funeral Service.
