Ruby Erline Lawless

Ruby Earline Lawless, 90, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born June 18, 1930, in Stokes County, North Carolina to the late Willie and Mickey Katherine Ashby Lankford. She was a member of Keafort Memorial Baptist Church. She loved being outside watching nature and especially loved hummingbirds and her pet chicken.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Doyle Spencer; and twelve brothers and sisters; first husband Johnnie Spencer; and second husband Otis Lawless.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Allen (Gilbert); and five grandchildren, Sharon Dillon, Tony Seay, Johnnie Spencer, Chris Spencer and Stephanie Sprague; and numerous great grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at 1:30 PM at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Dean White officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
