Clyde D. Prillaman

Clyde D. Prillaman, 88, of Collinsville, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Roanoke Carilion Hospital. He was born in Henry County, Virginia to the late Harvie Dennis Prillaman and Annie Glenwood Thomasson Prillaman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Prillaman.

He was self-employed as a contractor most of his life. He loved old Ford cars, reading westerns, golf and racing. Most of all, he loved his family.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years, Phyllis T. Prillaman; a daughter, Tracie Friddle (Mark); two sons, Michael Prillaman (Carol) and Scott Prillaman (Tracy Piestrak); two grandchildren, Joseph Prillaman (Michelle) and Michelle Kline (Evan); a brother, Douglas Prillaman, two sisters, Betsy Whitlow and Rebecca Prillaman and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Clyde was a veteran of the Korean War.

The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, with Pastor Larry Cheek officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park with full military rites.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, P. O. Box 36, Collinsville, Virginia 24078.
