Laura Annie Cockram Moore

Laura Annie Cockram Moore, 76, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Laura was born July 27, 1944 to the late Euras and Gracie Salmond Cockram. She worked at Bassett Furniture and Stanley Furniture for over 20 years. Laura enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great grand dog, Jelly Bean, walking, nature, and television.

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Robert Moore; daughter, Sharon Moore and special friend, Curtis Metzger; son, James Moore; sister, Virginia Radford, and brother, Hartle Cockram; grandchildren, Timothy James Moore, Sarah Moore, Cole Coffey, Delia Jordan, Annie Caitlyn Moore, and grandogs, Jelly Bean and Popcorn.

Laura is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Moore, who was the love of her life; and brother, Rufus Cockram.

Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
