Wendell Eugene Minter

Wendell Eugene Minter, 68, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 30, 1952 in Martinsville, to Rev. Junior Clifton Minter and Gertrude Wishon Minter. He had worked as a beekeeper, and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a family man, and loved to garden and collect guns.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Minter.

Mr. Minter is survived by his mother, Gertrude Wishon Minter; his wife, Linda Spanutius Minter; a daughter, Katie Baird (Jason); grandchildren, Nate Baird and Caroline Baird; and dear friends who were helpful and supportive in past months, Ronnie Henderson and Tommy Law.

All services will be private. The family will receive friends at the home on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18, between the hours of 1:00-7:00 PM.
