Ralph Edward Epling

Ralph Edward Epling, 61, of Longs, SC, formerly of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2021.  Ralph was born on December 31, 1959 in Pearisburg, VA and was a son of Frances Catherine Gautier Epling and the late James Edward Epling.  He was a 1978 graduate of Narrows High School, employee of the Celanese Corp in Narrows for 40 years and a member of the Narrows Fire Dept for 23 years.  Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Beverly Phillips Epling of Longs, SC, 2 daughters, Shelby L. Potter (Lee) of Denver, Co, Delanie D. Cook of Wytheville, one granddaughter, Ava Lane Potter and one brother, Timmy Epling (Vera) of Pearisburg, one niece, Amelia Epling.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with burial following in the Fletcher Mountain Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.   We will be observing COVID-19 precautions, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
