An Ode to Timothy A. Kelly
August 30, 1938 ~ April 23, 2021

Dear Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you that our extraordinary father, Tigger/Mr Tim/ “Dear Old Dad” has left us to go on his next adventure. Dad had one request over the last few months as his health deteriorated: that he be allowed to die at home with Jane, his kids and grandkids close by and with a view of the valley.
Dad gave us a life unparalleled in its examples of hard work, good humor and a welcoming of all. He created family, community and traditions in all areas of his life. It is because of his commitment to love the person wholeheartedly regardless of family ties and to hold onto the family he had created that we have been blessed to have a family rich with not only our actual badass relatives but, yet, and an extended family of Jane, Carter, Mary and Bill and their families, our beloved Bush, our sacred Windy Hill, our cherished Applebutter Gang, the exceptional Hope-Frosts and our anchor points formed through Mill Mountain Theatre, Graham White, SVI, Mountain Car Co. and his genuine adoration of trains (big and small) and cars.
Because of him we have this chaotic, immaculate and profound family hedgerow; so much thicker, richer and healthier than a single family tree. Thank you for being a part of our father’s life and ours.
