Donald Lee Hairston

Donald Lee Hairston, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2, 1959, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late James and Hattie Mae Hairston DeShazo. He enjoyed cooking and playing cards and had worked at Hooker Furniture.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Earlene Cooper; and brothers, Ronald Lee Hairston, Conald Lee Hairston and James Hairston.

He is survived by daughters, Desiree Hairston and Makala Wilson (Moctavian); sons, Devonte Hairston and Donte Rogers (Caitlydn); sister, Lillie Giles; and grandchildren, Tanaisa Walker, Dakayla Rogers, Callie Rogers, Dahlia Rogers, Malachi Wilson and Kevion Thomas; special cousin, Lynn Swanson; and aunt, Lenore Warren.

The funeral will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rogers Family Cemetery, Stillmeadow Road, Axton, Virginia.
