Dewey Allen "Jack" Perdue

Dewey Allen “Jack” Perdue, 87, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021

Dewey is preceded in death by his parents; the late Taylor and Margaret Perdue, brothers; Buddy and Ralph Perdue, grandson; Jason Riner.

Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years; Mazie Perdue, son; Allen Perdue (Heather), daughters; Dorothy Riner (Edward), Melody Perdue, Shelia Whitmer (Kevin), Wanda Jones, sisters; Shirley Dean and Christine Nolan, grandchildren; Michael, Gary, Princess, Shenia, Katrina, Rehannas, Taylor, Blake.

Dewey served in the United States Marine Corp in the weapons company 2nd Battalion 2nd Marine Division, also serving in the Korean War, after discharge he served his country in the Marine Corps Reserve. He retired from VA Medical Center and Kroger Company.

The family would like to give special Thanks to ALL the staff at the VA Medical Center for treating and taking such great care of Mr. Perdue.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brian Giezer officiating.
