David L. King, Sr.

David L. King, Sr., 78, husband of Kathleen King, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. He was the son of the Edward and Colean King.

He owned and operated King’s Lawn Maintenance Company for over 42 years and was a faithful member of Clearbrook Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Kathleen, David will be missed and remembered by his sons, Dave and his wife Mary, and Shannon; grandsons, Tanner, Tyler and Kyle; sisters, Mary Ellen (Dewey), Ann, Sandy (Donnie).

The family would like to thank Dr. Jordan White and Gentle Shepherd Hospice for all of their great care and kindness.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home.
