Robert Khaleal Coit

August 26, 2006 - June 5, 2021

Robert Khaleal “Khaleal” Coit, 14, of Goodview, VA, went to be home with our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Saturday, August 26, 2006, in Charleston, WV. Khaleal was the son of Robert William Coit III and Kelli Nicole White Weatherby. In May of 2020, he came to stay with his uncle, Bryan; and aunt, Stacy White who were blessed to have the opportunity to be his guardians. From this blessed opportunity, he wasted no time starting a wonderful new adventure at Smith Mountain Lake. Where he quickly became a part of his cousins, Brandin and Jorden’s lives and impacted many through his sincere care for others, and his wildly outgoing humor at SMLCA.
He looked forward to worship services on Sunday at East Lake Community Church, he loved his sports at SMLCA and enjoyed youth night at Lighthouse Bible Church in Vinton. With that, he surrounded himself with an enormous core of loving friends and experienced how much our LORD loves him. Through his contagious funny humor, outgoing personality, and loving heart he touched everyone that he came in contact with and more.
He will be deeply missed and always loved.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Kaleb William Coit; sister, Kendra Deann Coit; grandparents, Jonathan and Debra White of Goodview, VA; grandmother, Mildred Fung of Southampton, NJ; stepmother, Kisha Coit; stepbrothers, Sameje’ Wesley, and Tristan Martinez of Charleston, WV; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at noon on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at East Lake Community Church with Pastor Troy Keaton officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.
Those planning to attend the Celebration of Life for Khaleal are asked to arrive and take their seats no later than 11:45 a.m. to begin the service immediately at noon.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy’s athletic department in honor of Khaleal.
