Scott Allen Collins

Scott Allen Collins, 46, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Theresa Gilstrap of Orleans, Indiana.

Surviving are son, Christian Blake McCarty; mother, Merita Sweiger McGuinn; sisters, Rose Collins, Loretta Lynn Sands, Edith Ann Collins, Donna Marie Collins; brothers, James Kelly Collins, William Jason Collins, Eric Daniel McGuinn; best friend, Kevin Weddle and wife Holly, their children, Joseph, Trevor and Devin as well as the entire Weddle family; numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends that adored Scott.

Scott’s nickname was Chachi, he loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh! His sense of humor was corny but contagious, he was definitely one of a kind!
He loved hard and if he was in your corner you knew it. Life hit him hard but he wanted better, he wanted to be a better father, brother, son and friend, and no matter what he always smiled. The world was definitely a brighter and better place because of him.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at 2 to 4pm, Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke 1001 Franklin Road S.W. Roanoke, VA 24016.
