Hannelore "Lori" Merx Tucker

Hannelore “Lori” Merx Tucker, 84, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born March 5, 1937, in Dusseldorf on the Rhine, Germany to the late Heinz and Margarete Merx of Germany. She was employed by the United States Air Force at Hahn Air Base in Germany and later worked for DuPont in the office for over twenty years.

Lori volunteered at several Ministries at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church over a period of fifty years. She helped in Religious Education, Reach Out Program, Co-Ordinator of Eucharistic Ministers and manning the Religious Goods Store.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Thomas Tucker, and son Richard James (Duke) Potter.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Ann Potter (Howard Hong); son, Troy Anthony Tucker; sister, Rosemarie Miller (Don); and stepdaughter, Bethann Bell (Allen Bell).

A mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The ashes will be interred in her husband’s grave.
