Barbara Ann Tinsley Wheeling

Barbara Ann Tinsley Wheeling, 85, of Roanoke passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helen Jones Tinsley and Samuel James Tinsley; husband, Neville Edward Wheeling; son Michael Scott Wheeling; sisters, Sandra (Jackie) Schofied, Evelyn (Doodle) Wiseley, and brother Marvin (Sonny) Tinsley.

She is survived by daughter Vicki Hobson; son, Dennis Wheeling; granddaughter Kelli Hobson; grandson, Scott Wheeling; great-grandchildren Brody and Pyper Wheeling; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She worked at JCPenny once her children were school age, then as an Avon representative with her good friend Nancy Purser and because she loved teaching and caring for young children, retired after several years as a childcare worker.

The family extends a very special appreciation to the staff at Friendship Manor North and Good Samaritan Hospice. Also, a big thank you to family friend Gale Mundy for all your thoughts, prayers, and support.
