Donald K. Dowdy

Donald K. Dowdy, 34, of Vinton went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 8, 2021. He was preceded by his grandparents, S. M. and Ruby Dowdy; and Kenneth and Pauline Blankenship; and an uncle, Gary Dowdy.

Donald was a professional Blue Grass Musician. He loved the outdoors and especially the time that he spent hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of Northside High School.

Surviving are his son, Breyden Dowdy; father and step mother, Victor and Connie Dowdy; mother and step father, Doris and Robert Jenkins; brother, Steven (Christy) Dowdy and his daughter, Elizabeth; sister, Krystle Dowdy and her son, George; and uncles, Robert (Kelly) Dowdy, and James (Donna) Blankenship.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held 6 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior the the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 366-0707
